Presentation of DS GREEN BOX- HEALTHY PARCEL

Club members gathered in the new Café Presso in Almaty, which is located in a renovated building CUM.  As always, the guests could enjoy delicacies from the chefs of our partner, which made everyone very happy.



The aim of our Club is to introduce people not only with the principles of the healthy dining, but also ... with each other. Networking and new acquaintances were held in a warm and friendly environment.





From our point of view, this time we chose a very relevant subject – Beriberi (vitamin deficiency disease). During spring many people don’t feel well, feel themselves sleepy or not in the mood. People often associate it with a lack of vitamins in the body and start nourishing it with vitamin complexes, saying to themselves: "Oh, this vitamin deficiency." So, in order to deal with this issue and to hear the opinion of the expert, we invited Kozhahmetova Aygul Nagashbekovna, head of the Almaty Department of the National Center of Healthy Nutrition. As it turned out, vitamin deficiency is an absence of any vitamin or whole vitamin groups in man, and this is extremely rare. What we mistake for Beriberi is called hypovitaminosis - insufficient content level of vitamins. Aygul Nagashbekovna also spoke about the consequences of long-term vitamin deficiency and the ways to avoid it.
 

After the informative part, we moved to the practical. Once again, we were supported by the Panasonic company (www.panasonic.kz , www.facebook.com/panasonic.kz), which we would like to thank for providing blenders. Without these blenders our master class would have been impossible. Panasonic equipment is made without plastic, also it is environmentally friendly and helps to prepare tasty and healthy meals and our guests are constant witnesses of this.



Our Alima (Alima Kopbaeva , the author of “Limonka’s Healthy Notes” blog and DiningSmart staff) said about the benefits of using Panasonic blender and showed everyone how to make a green smoothie. Yuliya, the guest of our Club helped her. In addition to the usual green cocktail’s basil, cilantro, celery, apples and kiwi, we added chia seeds and flax seeds. The usefulness and benefits of these products that make up our gift DS Green Box, we will discuss in the next article. However, it is obvious that these ingredients enrich smoothie and make it even more nutritious.
